Healthy Homes Initiative

The air inside the house is half the job

Arizona's climate presents indoor air quality challenges that affect daily comfort and quality of life. Several things influence what a household breathes every day.

Dust Seasonal pollen Wildfire smoke Airborne particulates Indoor contaminants
  • For elders, young children, and anyone who spends most of the day indoors, these challenges matter more
  • The Healthy Homes Initiative helps tribal communities create cleaner, healthier, and more comfortable homes
  • Delivered as practical air quality improvements alongside HVAC restoration, not as a separate program

Who we work with

Call whether or not you own the house

We take the call directly from families, and we work under contract with the offices that fund the repair.

  • Elders and the family members caring for them
  • Tribal housing authorities and maintenance departments
  • Tribal health programs and community health representatives
  • Households with a member on oxygen or in respiratory care

How it works

Three steps, in order

01

You call, and we book the visit

Give us the community, the address, and who lives in the home. The assessment appointment is set on that same call. If someone in the home is elderly or in respiratory care, say so and we move you up.

02

We assess the home

The assessment is performed in accordance with industry and ROC requirements. You get the findings in writing before anyone talks about a work order.

03

The work is scoped and scheduled

We price the scope, handle the paperwork with the housing or health program funding it, and give you the work date in writing.

Indigenous Cooling — A Desert Spirit TEK Partnership

A hot house is a health problem
before it is a repair problem.

If the cooling is out today, call today. We would rather hear from you in June than meet you in August.
